Data Bank: How to Reset Your Password

Welcome to the ‘Password Reset’ tutorial. In this video, we will take you through the process of
resetting your password if you have forgotten it. This video is intended for registered organizations
who use the Data Bank to submit reports and/or
purchase queries. Please note you will need your Data Bank
Identification Number and User ID to reset your
forgotten password. If you do not have these, please contact your Data
Bank administrator. The administrator is the person that manages your
account, registration, payment methods, and/or
agent relationships. If you are unable to contact your Data Bank
administrator, you may call the Customer Service
Center at 1-800-767-6732 or send an e-mail to [email protected] On the ‘Sign In’ page, under ‘Password’ you will see
‘Forgot Your Password?’ Once you select the ‘Forgot Your Password’ link,
you will be directed to the ‘Reset Password’ screen. Fill in the Data Bank Identification Number and User
ID in the boxes provided, and then select ‘Continue.’ [Typing on keyboard] At this stage you will respond to a challenge
question that you answered when you first
registered with the Data Bank. Type your answer in the box provided and select
‘Continue’ in the lower left corner. If you don’t remember your answers to the
challenge questions, please contact your
administrator. If you are the administrator and forgot the answers
to your challenge questions, you will need to
contact the Customer Service Center. The ‘Reset Password’ page will show along with
instructions to enter your new password. Please note the ‘Password Requirements’ in the
box provided on the right of your screen. This interactive password wizard will help you create
strong passwords. As you meet these
requirements, you will see the red lettering turn to green,
indicating your success. Once all requirements have been met, select ‘Save
Password’ just below ‘Confirm New Password.’ [Typing on keyboard] An email that contains a hyperlink will be sent to
the user account requesting the password reset. It is important to note that your e-mail must be
current in your account; otherwise you will not
receive this email with the link. If you no longer have access to the email you
registered with, you will need to contact the
Customer Service Center. The e-mail containing the link will look similar to the
one above. Please take special notice of the underlined
hyperlink in the middle of the e-mail. This link MUST be selected and the process
completed within the hour or the link will expire and
you will have to begin the process again. Once you select the hyperlink it will take you
directly to the ‘Sign In’ screen. You may now enter your information along with your
