Fowler’s camo kicks, Bradley’s walk-off eagle & #GolfIsHard

When it’s America’s birthday weekend and
you are ready to party! I need to get me some of those kicks! It was Military Appreciation Day on Saturday
at Quicken Loans National, and the players dressed in camo to support our nation’s
military — including Rickie Fowler, who shot his first under-par round of the tournament. Rickie found himself in quite the awkward
spot in the bunker on 13… He even had a
chance to go lower on the final hole of the day, but the golf gods weren’t on his side
for that one… A slightly different reaction, Spencer Levin
shooting a 65 — the kind of day where you walk in putts. But some putts are worth jogging for. Russell Henley with a 46-footer on 17… “he’s
jogging in there” And there’s nothing like a little Luck. Curtis Luck, recently turned pro and recently
drained this from 34 feet. The players have been talking about how tough
this course is all week – even comparing it to a U.S. Open caliber course. But the course softened up in the afternoon
after the rain delay, and things got interesting. Like a Keegan Bradley hole-out from 144 yards
out for a walk-off eagle! How do you celebrate that? By carrying your own bag, I guess… No surprises here though, sometimes you just
know it’s going right. Lingmerth and Summerhays battled for the top
spot all day Saturday, with Lingmerth looking to repeat here after his win at TPC Potomac
back in 2012 on the TOUR. Who will take home the capital trophy? Catch all of Sunday’s action on PGA TOUR
LIVE, I’ll see you there, on social media for Quicken Loans and on Monday for Trending
