Yes, it’s just that as times goes by, some things become
more important in life, and other goals are superficial. But I’ve competed
in the World Cup for 17 years. When I finally came to the decision to end my career, I didn’t actually feel melancholy, but was instead looking forward to a new chapter in my life and to the fact that I would be free to enjoy my skiing. In motion in the great outdoors,
the speed… It’s a pure moment of happiness, when I’m on my skis. That’s exactly
what freedom means to me.
