NYC Marathon Winners Thank NYPD For Their Service


A RECORD NUMBER OF ATHLETES CROSSED THE FINISH LINE AT THE MARATHON YESTERDAY IN THE CITY. THE WINNERS FROM THE WOMEN’S AND IMPORTANT’S RACES, AS WELL AS THE WINNERS OF THE YOUTH INVITATIONAL RACES WERE AT THE CENTRAL PARK PRECINCT TO THANK THE NYPD. THEY SIGNED THE TAPE AND GAVE IT TO THE OFFICERS FOR PROTECTING THE RUNNERS, SPECTATORS, AND EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE CITY OVER THE WEEKEND. 52,812 PEOPLE FINISHED THAT RACE. AND ONE OF THEM, OUR VERY OWN VANESSA MURDOCK GOT THE HANDS UP IN THE AIR, WAVE THEM LIKE YOU JUST DON’T CARE. WAY TO GO VANESSA. THAT’S HER FIRST NEW YORK CITY MARATHON. MADE IT LOOK EASY. SHE TRAINED FOR 20 WEEKS. SHE SAYS SHE WAS HAPPY WITH THE WAY IT TURNED OUT.
