CALIFORNIA’S PLAN ALLOWS FOR THE BANKS TO BE ESTABLISHED AND LOAN MONEY FOR INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS AND EDUCATION AND SMALL BUSINESSES LIKE A NORMAL BANK WOULD AND LIKE ANY GOVERNMENT OWNED INSTITUTION, IT IS FUNDED WITH YOUR TAX DOLLARS, RUN BY AN INDEPENDENT BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPOINTED BY THE CITY AND INSURED THROUGH THE FDIC.>>THERE ARE ADVANTAGES TO PUBLIC BANKS LIKE LOWER INTEREST RATES ON LOANS BUT CRITICS ARE CONCERNED THEY MAY NOT BE AS EFFICIENT AND COULD BE SUBJECT TO POLITICAL INFLUENCE.
