♪ Oh, say can you see ♪ ♪ By the dawn’s early light ♪ ♪ What so proudly we hailed ♪ – (Vela) Today we come
together as a school district, city, county and state to
honor the fallen heroes, first responders and pay tribute to everyone who protects America. I send my deepest condolences to all who lost someone that day. Although many of you in our student audience
today were not born yet or are probably too young to remember, America will never forget but will always remember
those first responders who sacrificed their lives for others. (Taps) – At 8:45 AM, a hijacked passenger jet of American Airlines Flight 11

you all remember all of those that died that day. Including the responders and including those people
that rushed into the towers to save other people. That they themselves died to secure our way of life and our way of freedom in this country. And so be mindful of how blessed you are to live in the greatest country
