Salim Mansur On Personal Freedom

I’m Salim Mansur and I’m the People’s
Party candidate in the Riding of London North Center I’m directing this message
to all voters in my riding but in particular to those of you who are in
your thirties or younger it is most likely that your fundamental value is
personal freedom freedom of speech freedom of expression freedom of belief
freedom of movement freedom to explore and to innovate and freedom from
government of any sort that tell you what you’re allowed to think or to think
about and what you are not allowed freedom is fundamental for growth
freedom is to be alive and freedom is God’s gift to each one of us freedom is
responsibility it’s caring it’s learning to love and ready to defend the rights
of others of refusing to live by the code of political correctness that those
in authority seek to impose upon the rest of us in order to control our
thinking and our speaking for their own purpose sadly today if you look at the
policies and practices of the present Liberal government and the main
opposition parties the Conservatives the New Democrats and the Greens our
freedoms are being whittled away on the basis of political correctness this is
how it works first one of the parties introduces a
non-binding motion such as Motion 103 on Islamophobia that sounds like it is
protecting a perceived persecuted group then this non-binding motion or
resolution is given teeth through government funding that has caused the
millions of dollars spent to support the same lobbyists and NGOs who initially
came up with the idea of the motion then the academic join in and argue that if
you want to disagree with any or all of this and lecture at
a university or college you have to pay an exorbitant security fee for
privately sponsored events and you maybe attack verbally or physically by those
who might disagree with you I have experiences personally as have
others such as Jordan Peterson of the University of Toronto the sponsors had
to double the security payment close to the last minute before the event in
which I spoke and escort me after the event to the subway for fear of an
attack is this freedom of speech is this where a country has been heading of late
is this right that in the natural course of disagreements when individuals who
refuse to bend to political correctness are smeared as racists and bigots such
were and still remain the modus operandi of governments in communist China, Cuba,
the Middle East, the former Soviet Union North Korea etc and that is the direction
in which we are headed unless we firmly defend our freedoms
before we are dispossessed of them and of course I’m not telling you anything
new by relating the fact that the present Liberal government of Prime
Minister Justin Trudeau with little or no opposition decided to subsidize the
already largely pro-government media to the tune of nearly six hundred million
dollars do you think for a moment they will subsidize their critics hardly you
may be sure that freelance journalists who still have the courage and the
ability to tell right from wrong will also not be subsidized on the contrary
they will likely find less and less opportunity to write produce and publish
freely when the government subsidized media outlets stop contracting them let
me tell you bluntly the People’s Party of Canada is the only
party in the country that wants to increase not decrease your personal
freedom Maxime Bernier is the only leader and Member of Parliament adamantly
opposed to any curtailment of our freedoms Maxime Bernier understands
freedom of speech is the mother of all freedoms and if you allow the present
trend of constricting our freedoms continue our horizons will narrow our world
will shrink our rights will diminish and before we are fully awakened to our
enclosed world of political correctness our Canada will have been turned into
George Orwell’s version of Animal Farm please take note that this coming
election is as vital as important and as urgent for you and I to vote on an
informed basis as was the election of 1980 when the future of Canada hung in
the balance with the threat of Quebec separatism looming large my mother would
say to me one never gets a second chance to make a first impression let me
paraphrase the wisdom of my mother to say to you we will never get a second
chance to get this election right to vote and protect our freedoms if you do
not vote on an informed basis of what has gone wrong in our beloved Canada if you
wish as I know you do and must Canada to remain strong and free then your only
choice is to cast you vote on October 21st for the candidate in your riding or
electoral district who you know will most adamantly defend your and our
freedoms and such a candidate will be a People’s Party candidate holding firmly
to the values that Maxime Bernier represents I and the
People’s Party are counting on you and your support as are all
freedom-loving Canadians thank you

  • Excellent talk Dr. Mansur. Honest and eloquent. I agree “we will not get a second chance.” I am sharing this message and the platform of the PPC and donating what I can to the candidate in my riding. Never give up the good fight.🇨🇦

  • Calls to mind a quote i came across: Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.” and we certainly have the very definition of a weak man as PM right now Justin Castro must go. Max Bernier for PM, Canada's only hope. jmho

  • I'm still gobsmacked that the Conservatives didn't snap up this guy. He's a treasure. I love his viewpoints of free speech, rule of law, etc. He's quality.

  • I have to consult with my local 16 year old high school dropout before I vote. She's got Asperger's and a very good memory. I'm sure she knows what to do.

  • I believe Canada should be a country that is for freedom from Religion and not not for freedom of religion.because people who are coming to Canada are fleeing from the religious beliefs of those who have prejudice towards other religions and that is why religions who come to Canada should not be allowed to impose their religion on forien religions should not be allowed to erect houses of worship. Recently we have seen the decline of Catholic churches because we are a nation of freedom from Religion and not of religion. But now we have all these new religions coming to Canada and building new houses of worship and then demanding rights that over ride the rights of others

Re: 31 pg PDF "UN Global Compact for Migration" Dec 19, 2018. That's why CBC got those billboards about mass immigration removed FAST.

  • Justin Trudeau is not even complying to Objective 11 about illegal border crossing!!!! Tell Maxime this!

    Objective 11: Manage borders in an integrated, secure and coordinated manner

    27. We commit to manage our national borders in a coordinated manner, promoting bilateral and regional cooperation, ensuring security for States, communities and migrants, and facilitating safe and regular cross-border movements of people while preventing irregular migration. We further commit to implement border management policies that respect national sovereignty, the rule of law, obligations under international law, and the human rights of all migrants, regardless of their migration status, and are non-discriminatory, gender-responsive and child-sensitive. To realize this commitment, we will draw from the following actions:

    (a) Enhance international, regional and cross-regional border management cooperation, taking into consideration the particular situation of countries of transit, on proper identification, timely and efficient referral, assistance and appropriate protection of migrants in situations of vulnerability at or near international borders, in compliance with international human rights law, by adopting whole-of-government approaches, implementing joint cross-border training and fostering capacity-building measures;

    18-12606 18 /31

    (b) Establish appropriate structures and mechanisms for effective integrated border management by ensuring comprehensive and efficient border crossing procedures, including through pre-screening of arriving persons, pre-reporting by carriers of passengers, and use of information and communications technology, while upholding the principle of non-discrimination, respecting the right to privacy and protecting personal data;

    (c) Review and revise relevant national procedures for border screening, individual assessment and interview processes to ensure due process at international borders and that all migrants are treated in accordance with international human rights law, including through cooperation with national human rights institutions and other relevant stakeholders;

    (d) Develop technical cooperation agreements that enable States to request and offer assets, equipment and other technical assistance to strengthen border management, particularly in the area of search and rescue as well as other emergency situations;

    (e) Ensure that child protection authorities are promptly informed and assigned to participate in procedures for the determination of the best interests of the child once an unaccompanied or separated child crosses an international border, in accordance with international law, including by training border officials in the rights of the child and child-sensitive procedures, such as those that prevent family separation and reunite families when family separation occurs;

    (f) Review and revise relevant laws and regulations to determine whether sanctions are appropriate to address irregular entry or stay and, if so, to ensure that they are proportionate, equitable, non-discriminatory and fully consistent with due process and other obligations under international law;

    (g) Improve cross-border collaboration among neighbouring and other States relating to the treatment given to persons crossing or seeking to cross international borders, including by taking into consideration relevant recommendations from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Recommended Principles and Guidelines on Human Rights at International Borders when identifying best practices.

  • Everyone should read the 31 pg UN Global Compact for Migration and not depend on journalists for the truth

  • UN Global Compact for Migration…. mandated MEDIA to spin and control narrative that MASS IMMIGRATION is positive.
    Objective 17:
    Eliminate all forms of discrimination and promote evidence-based public discourse to shape perceptions of migration
    33. We commit to eliminate all forms of discrimination, condemn and counter expressions, acts and manifestations of racism, racial discrimination, violence, xenophobia and related intolerance against all migrants in conformity with international human rights law. We further commit to promote an open and evidence-based public discourse on migration and migrants in partnership with all parts of society, that generates a more realistic, humane and constructive perception in this regard. We also commit to protect freedom of expression in accordance with international law, recognizing that an open and free debate contributes to a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of migration. To realize this commitment, we will draw from the following actions:

    (a) Enact, implement or maintain legislation that penalizes hate crimes and aggravated hate crimes targeting migrants, and train law enforcement and other public officials to identify, prevent and respond to such crimes and other acts of violence that target migrants, as well as to provide medical, legal and psychosocial assistance for victims;

    (b) Empower migrants and communities to denounce any acts of incitement to violence directed towards migrants by informing them of available mechanisms for redress, and ensure that those who actively participate in the
    commission of a hate crime targeting migrants are held accountable, in accordance with national legislation, while upholding international human rights law, in particular the right to freedom of expression;
    (c) Promote independent, objective and quality reporting of media outlets, including Internet-based information, including by sensitizing and educating media professionals on migration-related issues and terminology, investing in ethical reporting standards and advertising, and stopping allocation of public funding or material support to media outlets that systematically promote intolerance, xenophobia, racism and other forms of discrimination towards migrants, in full respect for the freedom of the media;

    (d) Establish mechanisms to prevent, detect and respond to racial, ethnic and religious profiling of migrants by public authorities, as well as systematic instances of intolerance, xenophobia, racism and all other multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination, in partnership with national human rights institutions, including by tracking and publishing trend analyses, and ensuring access to effective complaint and redress mechanisms;

    (e) Provide migrants, especially migrant women, with access to national and regional complaint and redress mechanisms with a view to promoting accountability and addressing governmental actions related to discriminatory acts and manifestations carried out against migrants and their families;

    (f) Promote awareness-raising campaigns targeted at communities of origin, transit and destination in order to inform public perceptions regarding the positive contributions of safe, orderly and regular migration, based on evidence and facts, and to end racism, xenophobia and stigmatization against all migrants;

    (g) Engage migrants, political, religious and community leaders, as well as educators and service providers, to detect and prevent incidences of intolerance, racism, xenophobia and other forms of discrimination against migrants and diasporas, and support activities in local communities to promote mutual respect, including in the context of electoral campaigns.

  • Thank you, Dr. Mansur for your courageous heart, and for your willingness to fight on even after the loss of your son. You are a pillar of strength and wisdom and I thank you. God bless you in your campaign. May you, and Max, and all our other candidates have wild success in October! Go Team PPC!!

  • = M103 was intently imposed as a virulent toxic MUZZLE : " to quell " ( term used in riots ) our Free Speech, it dilutes our Charter of rights & Freedom – it attacks our critical thinking, critical analysis, critical speech abilities to better know – understand – assess, compare ideologies belief systems… as to NOT allow corrupted tendencies to prevail *

    YES * you are right in your assessments here and I applaud your higher intelligence expressing what we all need to hear and KNOW !!
    I AM voting P.P.C. Oct. 21st. 2019 Southern Ontario Picton.,

  • Trudeau and his socialists want Canada to become a socialist/communist country ! Be aware and fight back, we must fight for our freedom and our way of life ……. it is up to you and me .

  • Maxime Bonilla? Too funny. The accent is not supposed to be translated in the closed caption. Excellent video; freedom isn't free. Muslims who get this should be listened to very carefully.

  • Ah, the very cynical word "Islamophobia" manufactured by the Muslim Brotherhood in order to silence dissenting voices and apostates from criticism.

  • Pathetic party and a pathetic representative. How can this party even participate in a Canadian elections with all these views about immigration
