Spieth celebration reenactment, Fowler’s patriotic kicks & Curry playing with pros

When your second PGA TOUR win gives you all
the feels… Congratulations to Kyle Stanley, who came from behind
to with this year’s Quicken Loans National by tackling the tough TPC Potomac at Avenel
Farm – overcoming Charles Howell III in a one-hole playoff Sunday. With the win, Stanley moves up to 14th in
FedEx Cup Standings and has qualified for the upcoming Open Championship. Can you believe it?! Back-to-back weeks with playoff finishes?! And who could forget last week’s epic ending?! Two little golf fans out of St. Louis were
so pumped about Spieth’s epic finish at the Travelers Championship last weekend, they
acted it out in their backyard. This week’s viral video is just amazing
and they were actually pretty spot on. The only thing missing is Spieth tackling
caddy Michael Greller… Another viral video in the golf world this
week. And it’s going to make you laugh. The players were
rolling. Golfer Hao Tong Li’s brave mom decided to go after
what appeared to be a putter in the water over on the European Tour this week…. And whoops it was broken. So she did all that, for that. The players couldn’t keep their composure
and it was hilarious. So much buzz around the golf community this
week. The NBA was right in the middle of it too! The Web.com TOUR announced Wednesday, Stephen
Curry of the Golden State Warriors – and avid golfer himself, will test his skills
with the pros in August at the Ellie Mae Classic in the San Francisco area to help raise money
for the Warriors Foundation. The recent NBA Champ was pretty pumped about
the opportunity and took to Twitter to express that he’s always wanted to give it a try
inside the ropes in an official event. And how ironic is this?! The very same day the announcement was made,
J.R. Smith of the runner-up Cleveland Cavaliers was also on the course raising money for charity
at the Quicken Loans National Pro-Am?! Smith played in Rickie Fowler’s group and
was there while Rickie helped out with a special military homecoming surprise for golf fan
and Sergeant First Class Bryan Greene, who was returning from his deployment in the Middle
East. Rickie was all about supporting the Military
on this Independence Day weekend. He rocked some awesome patriotic kicks! What a wild couple weeks it has been on the
road! I had a blast but am excited to join you from
the PGA TOUR LIVE studio this week for the Greenbrier Classic. I’ll see you on the broadcast and make sure
and catch your round recaps in the Takeaway each night. Have a great week!
