THAT’S WHERE CHANNEL 2 NEWS SAMANTHA PTASHKIN IS LIVE WITH THE DETAILS.>>Reporter: WELL, SASHA, DPS JUST — SARA, DPS JUST CLEARED THE SCENE BUT THE DRIVER OF THAT 18-WHEELER IS NOW IN CUSTODY. ACCORDING TO DPS, THIS ALL STARTED THIS AFTERNOON AROUND EL CAMPO WHEN A TROOPER SPOTTED THE 18-WHEELER SWERVING IN AND OUT OF TRAFFIC ON 59. THE TROOPER THEN TRIED TO PULL THE DRIVER OF THE 18-WHEELER OVER, BUT HE REFUSED TO STOP. HE FINALLY DECIDED TO STOP HERE RIGHT ALONG 59 AND NORRIS NEAR STATE HIGHWAY 36. AND TROOPERS SAY THAT ONCE THEY GOT TO TALKING TO HIM, HE ADMITTED THAT HE WAS ON METH. OF COURSE, THEY THEN ARRESTED HIM. I BELIEVE THE TRUCK DRIVER DID ASK TO BE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL. THERE’S NO WORD YET ON ANY CHARGES HE MAY FACE. REPORTING LIVE, FROM FORT BEND COUNTY, SAMANTHA PTASHKIN, KPRC
