Reporter: IT LOOKS LIKE THE AON CENTER COULD BE THE NEXT CHICAGO LANDMARK TO ADD AN OBSERVATION DECK BUT THAT IS NOT ALL. THE OWNERS WANT TO BUILD A GLASS OWED — ELEVATOR ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING THAT TAKES YOU TO THE TOP. THE AON CENTER OFFERS AMAZING VIEWS FROM ALL SIDE, –. I THINK IT IS A GREAT VIEW. Reporter: THE VIEW IS SO GREAT, PLANS ARE IN THE WORKS TO OPEN AN OBSERVATION DECK BUT THAT IS NOT ALL. THEY WANT TO BUILD MORE THAN A 1000 FOOT TALL GLASS TOWER ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE BUILDING, AND INSIDE THAT TOWER WOULD RUN A DOUBLE-DECKER ELEVATOR. TAKING TAURUS — TOURISTS UP TO THE TOP.   • That would be nifty. The primary inspiration of this building was two World Trade Center until it was recladded. This building is beautiful

  • I live in the western suburbs of Chicago. I've seen Chicago from the top of the Sears Tower(I know it's now Willis tower but it will always be the Sears Tower to me) and from the top of the John Hancock building. I think it would be nice to see Chicago from the top of the Aon building. I would definitely ride the glass elevatory up there. If a lot of people like to stand in those glass boxes at the top of the Sears Tower, I'm sure they'd be happy to go on that ride designed to go around the Aon Center's rooftop.
    I say, BUILD THE OBSERVATORY!

  • As soon as the attraction opens, I'll go back to Chicago for holidays, I can't wait.
    It is great news that there will be an observatory with terraces, and also, climb in a panoramic elevator, even more exciting.
    it's fabulous. Chicago will have the highest panoramic elevator in America, and I would say, that of the world, if I'm not mistaken.
